(above) OK..so I used an old picture!

...and that's my story My mother took me to my first dance class when I was four years old and it didn't take long before I decided I wanted to be a ballerina when I grew up. Even though my dream of being a ballerina was never realized, I continued to dance all through school and college - tap, ballet, jazz, and even hula (by the way...there is no truth to the rumor that I did the hula on stage in Hawaii last year...no way...you can't prove it...there are no pictures!!). After college I started that thing called full time employment and for the first time in my life I had no time for dancing. I discovered line dancing about 10 years ago and took some classes from Don & Corrine Wright in Foster City. Even though I loved the classes other things got in the way, a wedding, a new house, and again that thing called work and I lost track of Don & Corrine. After a few years I tried to find classes to attend with little success...until one day I was surfing the net and came upon linedancefun.com. I contacted one of the instructors listed, Bruce Bowman, and got the info I needed to start their class.. When I told my husband, John, that I wanted to take country western line dance classes I was surprised when he said he would go with me. His taste in music runs more along the lines of Metallica and AC/DC than George Strait and Travis Tritt. We went together to a class taught by Evelyn Khinoo & Bruce Bowman in Palo Alto. It's been almost two years since that first class and line dancing has become a big part of our lives. Since then we have been privileged to take classes from some of the best choreographers and instructors in the world, Hedy McAdams, Evelyn Khinoo, Charlotte Skeeters, Mike Sliter, and, Terry Hogan. We have even danced while on vacation in Hawaii and Australia. About six months ago I was thrilled when Evelyn and Bruce asked me to assist with their beginner class in Redwood City. I love watching the beginners develop their own style as they learn the dances. Because of the difficulty I had in finding a line dance class, I started an Internet site - CW Dance Dates. Once you go to class there are flyers to tell you what is going on, but until you get to that first class it can be difficult. I decided to put all the information in one place for beginners and advanced dancers alike. Bonnie Bonnie Reitter is
